im in the process of adding a few new features for our servers.
one has been in place for months, just not enabled due to some limitations with our prior hosting, but that has been resolved with the new host solution. It is not connected to our servers just yet, that that is a formality; i just need to write a script to enable it, something i should be able to do in the next couple days. you can see the application here http://bans.clannbs.net
This application will enforce bans across ALL servers; ie if you add a ban on one, it will ripple to all the others. It will also consolidate the adding/subtracting of admins/authority, so that should be easier to manage as well.
the other is new. it will replace the ranking system we have on our tf2 server, and will give us overall ranks for all our servers. not sure how usefull this will be, but it was a tool to force me to learn some linux/perl/etc. which i was interested in doing for another project. it also is up and running, but not yet connected to the servers; this one just needs a simple script pointing to the database, but since each of the individual parts has been tested and works great it shouldnt be long! you can see this application here http://stats.clannbs.net
there are some additional features such as heat maps that show where people tend to congegate on the map, but that is for the future/if there is any interest. I encourage you to take a tour of this tool, as it has great promise.
thats all for now. the new host gives me much more capability to do things like this. And the new clan domain name allows me to point these features at subdomains easily. hopefully i can also get a new portal on the forums before long (but the ones that are available arent that good yet, so im waiting for some to be released that work properly)
