i was checking out the Lotus servers today, and had some observations.
first, they converted all but their trade servers to 24 players. look like valve got to everyone on this with all their warnings etc. about non standard servers.
second, they still have fake players, but only (?) 3 per server. not sure what thats about, maybe just seeding the server?
third, they have some players that start with "L" and end with "v2". normally the L would mean people who belong in the lotus clan, but...the same ids were playing on multiple servers at the same time! so maybe they are fakes or ? anyone else see this? There were 3 or 4 names like this, each on 3 or 4 servers this morning.
Just so you know, we arent using any of these 'tricks' to boost our ratings/rankings. We just use a good map rotation etc. and seem to be doing fine.
