Opinions on mother boards needed

its time to build the new system!

the last issue is the motherboard. two contenders,

• EVGA E758-A1 3-Way SLI (x16/x16/x8) LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
  Model #:132-BL-E758-A1
  
  
• ASUS P6TD Deluxe LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
  Model #6TD Deluxe

price is the essentially the same, reviews are similar. Features about the same too.

note; i will not be using 3xSLI ever; 1x to start, maybe 2x at some point, but even that is unlikely. So the triple sli on the evga board is not something that should matter one way or the other.


any comments/observations? or even other boards i should be looking at?


fyi; this is to replace my production computer that i use for work etc. My current computer (quad core amd/4GB) will then ripple down to replace the current gaming server (single core intel 1.6Ghz/2GB) and should be good for whatever we need (vent/2xL4D/1xTF2/TeamSpeak/etc.).

my last one was asus, and it worked great.

this one was almost asus....after i posted that, i read some reviews and ended up getting the evga. its a great mb as well, quality right up there with asus.

Ok went and looked at those pics your machine is a massive monster.... my two look like wimps crawling back to there holes in shame....
