i changed the RSS feed software because it kept duplicating posts, which took time to weed out, and was a general pain.
this version (it isnt actually an update, but rather totally different software/options/setup/etc.) hashes the posts so none are duplicated. took a while to set up, but its now up and running.
trouble is, with RSS feeds, they go through an initial phase where they download everything still available, so a few posts will be duplicated initially.
so going forward, no more duplicated posts!
if anyone wants to weed through the RSS feed forums and weed out the dups, let me know and i will promote you to moderator! There are 6 active RSS forums; 5 need to be weeded a bit.
Also, the News & Events forum is now linked via RSS to the Steam NBS Announcement page; any announcements will automatically be copied over to that forum via RSS! So less typing for me!
